"Everyone has gone back to their everything." I found myself feeling this way after the holidays... everyone had gone back to school, back to work, back to routine... After each visit, the house is once again quiet and the adjustment to the empty nest recycles. It is a process, not just a one time event... it takes time and gets better every few months... but, meanwhile, if you have a friend with a fresh empty nest... acknowledging it is comforting.
